An authentic old mansion
Ο ξενώνας Λα ΜοάραLa Moara is considered an emblematic guesthouse as it was the first to open, when the Nymfaio “rebirth” took place, and paved the way to mild tourism. It served as a model for the development of the guesthouses that came after and has been the very epicentre for the events of great significance in the village.It has been voted in the top five guesthouses in Greece for five consecutive years at the Filoxenia International Tourism Fair. Over the years, La Moara has hosted eminent personalities such as the Archbishop of Greece, the late Christodoulos, the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Konstantinos Stefanopoulos, many Ministers, Bank Governors, Professors, Writers, Businessmen and many others.
Rich tradition combined with modern comforts
Visitors will find themselves right at the heart of a vast natural painting, drawn by Geography and coloured by History. Beyond the forests and the meadows that surround the village, one can marvel at the valleys, studded plains, villages, lakes, and Ptolemaida, the country’s energy center with its imposing thermal power stations and open cast mines.
During the day, the imposing mountaintops of Vermio, Siniatsiko, Pieria, Kamvounia and Mount Olympus dominate the horizon, giving us the impression that we are actually standing there, surveying the world from high above. At night, under the starry sky, the lights of the villages and mines twinkle in the distance.
Ο ξενώνας αναπαριστάνει αυθεντικά τα περίφημα παλαιά αρχοντικά και στους εσωτερικούς του χώρους συνδυάζει την βαρύτιμη παράδοση με τις πιο σύγχρονες ανέσεις. Περιβάλλεται από ένα μεγάλο αλπικό λειμώνα, κήπους και έλατα.
Διαθέτει οκτώ άνετα δωμάτια, εστιατόριο, δύο σαλόνια, έναν Καλόν Οντά με κεντητές βελέντζες, μαξιλάρες και τζάκια και αίθουσα ψυχαγωγίας με μπιλιάρδο, επιτραπέζια παιχνίδια και βιβλιοθήκη. Το ξακουστό Κελάρι του προσφέρει τα πιο ονομαστά κρασιά των μακεδονικών αμπελώνων σε όλη την κλίμακα επιλογής.
